La Cuvette Beach

The north of the island is known for its beautiful beaches (e.g. Mont Choisy or Trou aux Biches). However, there are also lesser-known beaches such as La Cuvette between Grand Baie and Pereybere. This is a smaller cozy beach with fine golden sand. The entrance to the water is gradual without corals and stones. Rocks are located on the sides of the beach and fish or even hedgehogs have a refuge here! The color of the ocean here is a beautiful turquoise.

There are no sunbeds and umbrellas for rent on the beach, so bring blankets with you. But you can find shade here under the leafy trees. Refreshments are provided by stalls and the toilets here are some of the nicest on the island. The cleaning ladies will be very happy for the small money you use to appreciate their work - but it is not your duty. The parking lot here is smaller, so it's first come, first served...

We really liked La Cuvette. It is not as crowded as the beach in Pereybere and it is really beautiful here.
