Chateau de Labourdonnais is located in the northern part of the island. It is a beautiful colonial house with a large garden, where, in addition to a small farm and an enclosure for turtles, you will also find a tasting of excellent rum, a stylish restaurant and a beautiful gift shop.

Entrance is charged. It is up to you whether you buy a visit only to the colonial house with a mini-farm or also the underground and sugar cane processing (both possible only with a guide - at the time of our visit he was not available), so we only bought a tour of the house and a mini-farm for the girls. The price also includes a tasting of rum, juice and self-made jelly. Here, we really appreciate that they also thought of the children during the tasting so our childer were able to taste something too👏.

The area is beautifully maintained and you can spend a pleasant part of the day there. However, I liked the interior of Eureka more, as the equipment was more diverse and you felt more like you were really transported 150 years back to the past and the whole house belonged to you😍. Unfortunately, you can't go to the turtles. The mini farm could be more interactive and engaging.
